![]() Performs other duties as assigned by the Director.Understands and can navigate through the Optical Point of Sale System.Works with IT and Clinical Engineering for Clinical Equipment needs.Ensures staff maintain certification and supports their educational advancement to sustain a highly trained staff.Approves staff myTime (payroll) and ensure employee’s time is recorded accurately.Performs needed edits in the POS system for contact lens issues.Oversees POS daily collections processes for the contact lens department.Approves contact lens invoices, both paper and in the WebNow system, and ensures that they are sent to AP in a timely manner.Oversees and resolves departmental billing issues and payments with Accounts Payable and vendors.Organizes department trainings as indicated.Assists patients, customers, and members with quality of care and billing issues related to a MD or OD visit, documenting in HealthPartners’ systems as appropriate.Holds self and staff accountable for meeting high standards of care and service to all patients, customers, and members.Supports the Director and department leads in changing as needed to meet corporate and department policies. Analyzes clinic processes, flows, and procedures with an improvement mindset.Mentors technical staff leads and holds them accountable to performing lead duties.Creates staffing schedules and takes staff sick calls.Supervises staff within the context of HealthPartners Human Resources policies and collective bargaining agreements.Ensures compliance with organizational and departmental policies and procedures.Supervises the technical support staff, which includes the authority to hire, transfer, lay off, promote, discipline and discharge, train, reward, and review performance of employees.Responsible, in conjunction with the other Eye Operations Supervisor(s), for the Optometry support staff or the Ophthalmology technical support staff at Arden Hills, Bloomington, Como, HSC, West and Woodbury Eye Care and at any new HealthPartners eye clinics.Experience leading in a union environment.Ability to work in a management team environment. ![]() Ability to manage resources and staff within budget requirements.Ability to lead, mentor and motivate employees.Experience collaborating with physicians and patients.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong problem solving and analytical skills.Staff supervisory/leadership experience or experience working in an eye care setting.Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Business, Health Care or related field or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.We seek colleagues who wish to help advance diversity, equity and inclusion and foster an environment where everyone feels welcome, included, and valued.
